The HOME&AWAY campaign, now in its third year, highlights how Boeing and the USO of Illinois are committed to helping service members and their military families thrive. The enlisted men and women of the armed forces and their families make many sacrifices in the protection of our freedoms. And while we support their efforts, we may overlook the opportunity to say thank you, or be able to find a way to make a tangible difference. Our shared love of our community and local sports teams brings us together.

Boeing’s HOME&AWAY campaign connects the fans and the troops with the USO of Illinois. So now a simple sign of “Thanks” can make a difference in a service member’s life. Join Boeing and the USO of Illinois and pledge your support to the troops by donating online  or by texting iluso to 41444

With only a $10 donation, the USO of Illinois could provide care, comfort and much-needed support to three American troops at a USO center. Just think what a greater donation could do!

To highlight the importance of these donations, Boeing has captured authentic stories that showcase the extraordinary acts of giving and caring by USO volunteers, as well as first-person reflections from veterans who have experienced the overwhelmingly positive impact of the USO and provide their own unique perspectives on the meaning of service to one’s country.

Long Way Home: An Army Lieutenant Colonel reflects on how the USO of Illinois allowed him, after numerous difficult deployments, the opportunity to rekindle his relationship with his family by providing them with a trip like no other.

Homecoming Queen: A dedicated USO of Illinois volunteer discusses her commitment to the USO mission and what volunteering means to her. After hosting hundreds of  "Welcome Home" ceremonies for service members returning from deployment, she has received the affectionate title of  "Homecoming Queen."

Guardian of the Community: A Coast Guard veteran reflects on receiving the USO of Illinois Service Salute Award, given in recognition of his enduring commitment to family and community.
